Borderless Pay
I designed it, then built it. The build made it better.

The problem
Explain a new kind of wallet before the app exists.
Borderless Pay lets visitors to Nigeria fund a local wallet, convert to Naira and pay with an NGN card. The website had to explain that to people who had never heard of it, and to the businesses who get paid, before the app was in the stores.
Research
Four products people already trust with money.
I studied how Verto FX, Borderless banking, Paystack and Flutterwave explain cross-border money and what they lead with, then drew the site's information architecture from it.
Approved design, then live
Eleven changes between sign-off and launch.
Pick a change. The approved design is on the left, the live page on the right, and each change says why.

- What changed
- A phone mockup became a map with people pinned across countries.
- Why
- A phone alone looks like every fintech. The map says “money from abroad, spent in Nigeria” before anyone reads a word.
What I did
Design, then build, by the same hands.
I designed the Home, Features and About pages and the structure behind them, and the client approved them. Then I built the site on WordPress, adapting the design as the product firmed up.
I also built the referral links: a link like /r/{code} sends people to the app, or to a download page if they don't have it.
What happened
Live since January 2026.
1.3K visitors and 2.7K page views by 22 October. The app launched in the App Store and Google Play in October 2026.
